Programming with Recognized Remote Keys:
To add a new key to the vehicle’s system when there are two recognized keys, follow these steps:

For Tahoes with front bench seats:
1. Place the two recognized remote keys on the passenger seat.
2. Access the DIC menu and select “Remote Key Learn.” The DIC will display READY FOR REMOTE #3, 4, 5, etc.
3. Insert the new remote key into the backup pocket located in the lower console bin.
4. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. Once the remote key is learned, the DIC display will indicate readiness to program the next remote key.
5. Remove the remote key from the backup location and press either UNLOCK or LOCK. Repeat Steps 3–5 for additional remote keys. After programming all keys, press and hold ENGINE START/STOP for approximately 12 seconds to exit programming mode.

For Tahoes without front bench seats:
1. Place the two recognized remote keys on the passenger seat.
2. Navigate to the DIC menu and select “Remote Key Learn.” The DIC will display READY FOR REMOTE #3, 4, 5, etc.

2. If your vehicle is still operational, consider driving to the locksmith to save money on service fees.
3. The locksmith will connect specialized computer equipment to your vehicle to program the smart key remote fob.
