Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

Programming with Two Recognized Keys:

1. Insert the original programmed key and turn on the ignition.
2. Turn off the ignition and remove the key.
3. Quickly, within five seconds, insert the second original programmed key and turn on the ignition.
4. Turn off the ignition and remove the key.
5. Insert the new key and turn on the ignition within five seconds. The security light turns off once programmed.
6. Repeat Steps 1–5 for additional keys.

**Programming without Two Recognized Keys:**

1. Insert the new vehicle key into the ignition and turn it on. The security light will illuminate.
2. Wait 10 minutes until the security light turns off.
3. Turn the ignition off and repeat Steps 1–2 two more times. After the third time, turn the ignition on; the key is learned, and previous keys won’t work.
4. To program the second key, repeat Steps 1–3.
5. Remaining keys can be programmed by following the procedure in “Programming with Two Recognized Keys.”

**Programming with Recognized Transmitters (Smart Key):**

1. Place the recognized transmitters in the front cupholder.
2. Insert the vehicle key of the new transmitter into the driver door key lock cylinder and turn it counterclockwise five times within 10 seconds. The DIC displays READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, or 5.
3. Place the new transmitter in the front cupholder.
4. Press ENGINE START/STOP. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC will indicate readiness to program the next transmitter.
5. Remove the transmitter from the cupholder and press unlock. Repeat for additional transmitters.

**Programming without Recognized Transmitters (Smart Key):**

1. Insert the vehicle key of the transmitter into the driver door key lock cylinder and turn it counterclockwise five times within 10 seconds. The DIC displays REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
2. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN, then press ENGINE START/STOP. Repeat this step two more times.
3. After the third time, previous transmitters won’t work. Remaining transmitters can be programmed. The DIC should display READY FOR REMOTE #1.
4. Place the new transmitter in the front cupholder.
5. Press ENGINE START/STOP. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC will indicate readiness to program the next transmitter.
6. Remove the transmitter from the cupholder and press unlock. Repeat for additional transmitters.
