Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

To add a new key to the system, you need two functioning Programmed Ignition Keys.

1. Insert the first already programmed key into the ignition and switch on the ignition.
2. Turn off the ignition and remove the key.
3. Quickly, within five seconds, insert the second already programmed key into the ignition and switch on the ignition.
4. Turn off the ignition, and remove the key.
5. Insert the new key to be programmed and switch on the ignition within five seconds. The security light will turn off once the key has been programmed.
6. Repeat Steps 1–5 if you need to program additional keys.

In case all keys are lost and no Programmed keys are available, programming without Two Programmed Keys is required. As per Canadian regulations, owners must visit their dealer. If two currently programmed keys are not available, follow this procedure to program the first key. This process will approximately take 30 minutes to complete for the first key. Ensure the vehicle is off, and all keys you wish to program are with you.

1. Insert the new vehicle key into the ignition.
2. Turn on the ignition. The security light will illuminate.
3. Wait for 10 minutes until the security light turns off.
4. Turn off the ignition.
5. Repeat Steps 2–4 two more times. After the third time, switch on the ignition; the key is programmed, rendering all previously programmed keys unusable with the vehicle.
6. To program the second key, switch off the ignition. Insert the second key to be programmed and switch on the ignition. After programming two keys, any remaining keys can be programmed by following the procedure outlined in “Programming with Two Recognized Keys.”
