Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

To program a new transmitter when two recognized transmitters are available, follow these steps with all transmitters present:

1. Remove the key from a recognized transmitter.
2. Place recognized transmitters in the cup holder or passenger seat.
3. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle and turn it counterclockwise to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) will display “READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, etc.”
4. Insert the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket/insert located in the center console storage area between the driver and front passenger seats.
5. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC will indicate readiness to program the next transmitter.
6. Remove the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and press unlock or lock on the transmitter. Repeat Steps 4–6 for additional transmitters. When all additional transmitters are programmed, press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for approximately 12 seconds to exit programming mode.
7. Return the key to the transmitter.

Programming without a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only):
If no recognized transmitters are available, follow these steps to program up to eight transmitters:
1. Remove the vehicle key from the transmitter.
2. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle and turn it counterclockwise to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The DIC will display “REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.”
3. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC displays “PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN,” then press the ENGINE START/STOP button. The DIC will again show “REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.”
4. Repeat Step 3 two additional times. After the third time, all previously known transmitters will no longer work with the vehicle. Place the new transmitter in the transmitter pocket/insert.
5. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC will indicate readiness to program the next transmitter.
6. Remove the transmitter from the transmitter pocket/insert and press unlock or lock on the transmitter. Repeat Steps 5–7 for additional transmitters. When all additional transmitters are programmed, press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for approximately 12 seconds to exit programming mode.
7. Return the key to the transmitter.

Note: This vehicle requires a qualified professional to program key fobs if you have a separate key and remote. Follow these steps to locate an automotive locksmith and have them program the smart key remote fob.
