Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

To incorporate a new key into the system, you need two functioning Programmed Ignition Keys.

1. Place the first, already programmed key into the ignition and switch it on.
2. Turn off the ignition and remove the key.
3. Quickly, within five seconds, insert the second already programmed key into the ignition and switch it on.
4. Turn off the ignition and remove the key.
5. Insert the new key to be programmed and switch the ignition on within five seconds. The security light will deactivate once the key has been programmed.
6. Repeat Steps 1–5 if you need to program more keys.

In the event of losing all keys and having no Programmed keys available, and if Canadian regulations mandate visiting a dealer, follow this procedure to program the initial key. This process will take approximately 30 minutes to complete for the first key. Ensure the vehicle is off, and all keys you plan to program are present.

1. Insert the new vehicle key into the ignition.
2. Turn on the ignition. The security light will illuminate.
3. Wait for 10 minutes until the security light goes off.
4. Turn off the ignition.
5. Repeat Steps 2–4 two more times. After the third repetition, switch on the ignition; the key is programmed, rendering all previously programmed keys unusable with the vehicle.
6. To program the second key, switch off the ignition. Insert the second key to be programmed and switch on the ignition. After programming two keys, any remaining keys can be programmed by following the procedure outlined in “Programming with Two Recognized Keys.”
