Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

(Applicable to Canadian regulations mandating dealer assistance):

1. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door’s exterior and turn it to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) will display “REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.”

2. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC shows “PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN” and then press the ignition. The DIC will again display “REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.”

3. Repeat Step 2 two more times. After the third time, all previously recognized transmitters won’t function with the vehicle. Any remaining transmitters can be relearned in the subsequent steps. The DIC should now display “READY FOR REMOTE #1.”

4. Place the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket with the buttons facing up. This pocket is inside the center console cup holder. You’ll need to remove the cup holder liner to access the transmitter pocket. Use a finger or a tool in the notch at the rear of the cup holder to remove the liner.

5. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC will indicate readiness to program the next transmitter.

6. Remove the transmitter from the pocket and press unlock. To program additional transmitters, repeat Steps 4–6. Once all additional transmitters are programmed, press and hold the ignition for at least 10 seconds to exit programming mode.
