Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

Programming Transmitters to the Vehicle:
Only Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters programmed specifically to this vehicle will function. When replacing a transmitter, all remaining transmitters must also undergo reprogramming. Any lost or stolen transmitters will cease to work once the new transmitter is programmed. Each vehicle can accommodate up to five matched transmitters.

Programming with a Recognized Transmitter:
A new transmitter can be programmed when there is at least one recognized transmitter. For vehicles sold in Canada, two recognized transmitters are necessary to program a new one. To initiate programming, ensure the vehicle is off and all transmitters, both recognized and new, are inside the vehicle.
1. Place the recognized transmitter(s) in the cup holder.
2. Insert the key of the new transmitter into the driver’s door key lock cylinder and turn it to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) will display “READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, or 5.”
3. Remove the rubber mat in the instrument panel storage, extend the key blade on the new transmitter, and insert it into the transmitter slot.
4. Press and hold the POWER button on the center stack for two seconds. Once programmed, the DIC will indicate readiness for programming the next transmitter.
5. Remove the transmitter from the slot and press UNLOCK on it. To program additional transmitters, repeat steps 3 through 5. After programming all additional transmitters, press and hold the POWER button for 10 seconds to exit programming mode.

Programming without a Recognized Transmitter:
Canadian regulations mandate consulting a dealer for programming new transmitters when two recognized transmitters are unavailable. If there are no recognized transmitters, follow this procedure to program up to five transmitters with the vehicle off and all transmitters inside.
1. Insert the transmitter key into the driver’s door key lock cylinder and turn it to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The DIC will display “REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.”
2. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC displays “PRESS START BUTTON TO LEARN” and then press the POWER button on the center stack. The DIC will again show “REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.”
3. Repeat step 2 two more times. After the third time, all previously known transmitters will no longer work. New transmitters can now be programmed. The DIC should display “READY FOR REMOTE #1.”
4. Remove the rubber mat in the instrument panel storage, extend the key blade on the new transmitter, and insert it into the transmitter slot.
5. Press and hold the POWER button for two seconds. Once programmed, the DIC will indicate readiness for programming the next transmitter.
6. Remove the transmitter from the slot and press UNLOCK on it. To program additional transmitters, repeat steps 4 through 6. After programming all additional transmitters, press and hold the POWER button for 10 seconds to exit programming mode.
