Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

To program a new key using a recognized transmitter:

1. Place the original programmed key into the ignition and turn it to the ON/RUN position.
2. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF and remove it.
3. Insert the new key to be programmed within five seconds and turn it to the ON/RUN position. The security light will turn off once the key is programmed.
4. Repeat steps 1–3 if additional keys need programming.

For programming without a recognized transmitter:

If you don’t have a recognized key, follow these steps to program a new key, which might take around 30 minutes for the first key. Ensure the vehicle is turned off and all keys you want to program are available:

1. Insert the new key into the ignition.
2. Turn it to the ON/RUN position; the security light will illuminate.
3. Wait for about 10 minutes until the security light turns off.
4. Turn the ignition to LOCK/OFF.
5. Repeat steps 2–4 twice more. After the third cycle, turn to ON/RUN; the key is now learned, and previously known keys won’t function with the vehicle. Any remaining keys can be programmed by following the procedure outlined in “Programming with a Recognized Key.”
