Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

These programming steps are specifically designed for USA-built vehicles and apply to both keys and flip keys.

Can I program a duplicate key for this vehicle? Yes, after having the new key cut by a Locksmith, follow these instructions:

1. Insert an existing programmed working key into the ignition cylinder.
2. Turn the ignition to the ON position for 5 seconds, then back to the OFF position.
3. Remove the existing key and within 5 seconds, insert the new key and turn it to the ON position for 5 seconds.
4. Turn the key OFF, then back to ON. The key is now programmed. Start the vehicle to test the key.

Can I program a new key myself if I have no working keys? No, contact a Locksmith for programming.

If you have a Smart Key Fob, follow these instructions:

Programming with a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only):
1. Place the recognized transmitter(s) in the cupholder.
2. Insert the vehicle key of the new transmitter into the key lock cylinder located on the outside of the driver door and turn the key to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) displays READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, or 5.
3. Place the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket, located inside the center console cupholder. Press the ignition.
4. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC will show that it is ready to program the next transmitter. Remove the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and press Unlock. Repeat Steps 3 through 5 for additional transmitters. Hold the ignition for 10 seconds to exit programming mode.

Programming without a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only):
1. Insert the vehicle key of the transmitter into the key lock cylinder located on the outside of the driver door and turn the key to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The DIC displays REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
2. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN and then press the ignition. The DIC displays will again show REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
3. Repeat Step 2 two additional times. After the third time, all previously known transmitters will no longer work with the vehicle. Place the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket. Press the ignition.
4. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC will show that it is ready to program the next transmitter. Remove the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and press Unlock. Repeat Steps 4 through 6 for additional transmitters. Hold the ignition for 10 seconds to exit programming mode.
