Please note that two valid keys are required to add a new key to the system. If you lack two working keys, a locksmith will need to program a key for you. Here are the steps:

1. Begin by inserting the first valid key into the ignition switch. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position, ensuring it remains in this position for at least three seconds but no longer than 15 seconds. Then, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and remove the first key.

2. Next, insert the second valid key into the ignition switch. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position within 15 seconds. After 10 seconds, a chime will sound, and the Vehicle Security Light will start flashing. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and remove the second key.

3. Now, insert the new key into the ignition switch. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position within 60 seconds. After 10 seconds, a single chime will sound, and the Vehicle Security Light will cease flashing. To confirm that programming is complete, the Vehicle Security Light will briefly turn on again before turning off. Your new key is now programmed. Note that the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter will also be programmed during this procedure. Repeat these steps to program up to eight keys.
