Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

Programming a New Transmitter with an Existing Recognized Transmitter:

1. Ensure the vehicle is turned off.
2. Keep both the recognized and new, unrecognized transmitters with you.
3. Proceed to the rear of the vehicle and insert the vehicle key into the key cylinder located on the lower rear fascia, driver’s side.
4. Turn the key five times within five seconds to open the trunk.
5. The Drivers Information Center (DIC) will indicate “READY FOR FOB #X,” where X can be 2, 3, or 4.
6. Place the new, unrecognized transmitter in the glove box transmitter pocket with the buttons facing right.
7. Once the transmitter is successfully programmed, a beep will sound. The DIC will display “READY FOR #X,” where X can be 3 or 4, or “MAX # FOBS LEARNED.”
8. Press the OFF/ACCESSORY button to complete the programming process.

Programming a New Transmitter without a Recognized Transmitter:

1. Ensure the vehicle is turned off.
2. Place the new, unrecognized transmitter in the glove box transmitter pocket with the buttons facing right.
3. Go to the rear of the vehicle and insert the vehicle key into the key cylinder located on the lower rear fascia, driver’s side.
4. Turn the key five times within five seconds to open the trunk.
5. The DIC message will display “OFF-ACC TO LEARN.”
6. Press the OFF/ACCESSORY button.
7. The DIC will indicate “WAIT 10 MINUTES” and will count down from 10 minutes to zero, one minute at a time.
8. The DIC will display “OFF-ACC TO LEARN” again.
9. Press the OFF/ACCESSORY button.
10. The DIC will again indicate “WAIT 10 MINUTES” and will count down from 10 minutes to zero, one minute at a time.
11. The DIC will display “OFF-ACC TO LEARN” again.
12. Press the OFF/ACCESSORY button.
13. The DIC will again indicate “WAIT 10 MINUTES” and will count down from 10 minutes to zero, one minute at a time.
14. A beep will sound, and the DIC will display “READY FOR FOB #1.” At this point, all previously known transmitters will be erased.
15. Once the transmitter is recognized and programmed, a beep will sound, and the DIC will display “READY FOR FOB #2.” Repeat this process to program up to four transmitters. Once completed, the DIC will display “MAX # FOBS LEARNED,” and exit programming mode. Press the OFF/ACCESSORY button to finish.
