Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

For vehicles with the optional transponder system, only those equipped with transponders require programming. Here’s a guide for adding a new key to the system, assuming you have two valid keys:

1. Begin by inserting the first valid key into the ignition switch. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position for at least three seconds but no longer than 15 seconds. Then, switch the ignition to the LOCK position and remove the first key.

2. Next, insert the second valid key into the ignition switch. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position within 15 seconds. After 10 seconds, you’ll hear a chime, and the Vehicle Security Light will start flashing. Switch the ignition to the LOCK position and remove the second key.

3. Now, insert the new key into the ignition switch. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position within 60 seconds. After 10 seconds, a single chime will sound, and the Vehicle Security Light will stop flashing, indicating programming completion. The Vehicle Security Light will briefly turn on and then turn off to confirm the end of programming. Your new key is now successfully programmed. This process can be repeated to program up to eight keys.
