Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

For early production year models:
1. Start by turning the ignition to RUN or ACC.
2. Jump the pins in the programming connector plug for the entire programming procedure. All doors will lock, then unlock to confirm entering programming mode. (The plug is black with two wires: white with yellow stripe and gray with yellow stripe. It comes out of a large harness running under the column at the bottom edge of the dash.)
3. Press any button on the first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.
4. If programming a second keyless remote, press any button on it, and door locks will cycle to confirm programming.
5. Turn the ignition to OFF. Door locks will cycle to indicate the end of programming mode.
6. Remove the jumper wire in the programming connector.

For late production year models:
1. Turn the ignition from OFF to RUN eight times within 10 seconds, with the eighth time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm entering programming mode.
2. Within 20 seconds, press any button on the first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.
3. Within 20 seconds, press any button on the second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming.
4. Turn the ignition to OFF. Locks will cycle once more to indicate the end of programming mode.
