Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

For vehicles equipped with the transponder system, programming a new key requires having two valid keys already in hand. If you lack two working keys, a locksmith’s assistance is necessary for key programming. Here’s the step-by-step process:

1. Begin by inserting the first valid key into the ignition switch. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position and hold it for at least three seconds but no longer than 15 seconds. Then, switch the ignition to the LOCK position and remove the first key.

2. Next, insert the second valid key into the ignition switch. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position within 15 seconds. After 10 seconds, you’ll hear a chime, and the Vehicle Security Light will start flashing. Switch the ignition to the LOCK position and remove the second key.

3. Now, insert the new key into the ignition switch. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position within 60 seconds. After 10 seconds, a single chime will sound, and the Vehicle Security Light will stop flashing, indicating programming completion. The Vehicle Security Light will turn on briefly and then turn off to confirm the end of programming. Your new key is now successfully programmed. This process can be repeated to program up to eight keys.
