Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

1. Start by removing the key from the ignition switch.
2. Locate and remove the MALL PGM fuse from the fuse box.
3. Ensure all doors are closed.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position.
5. Within one second, turn the ignition switch to OFF and then back to ACC.
6. Open and close the driver’s door.
7. A chime will sound, indicating that you are in programming mode.
8. Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together until the chime sounds twice, approximately 14 seconds.
9. Repeat step 8 for any additional remotes.
10. Remove the key from the ignition and replace the MALL PGM fuse.
11. Test the remotes. If the above instructions do not work, try the following alternative method:

– Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
– Remove the BCMPRGRM fuse from the fuse block.
– Close all doors.
– Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder.
– Turn the ignition to ACC.
– The Body Control Module (BCM) will flash the seatbelt indicator and chime a certain number of times to identify the type of BCM installed in the vehicle.
– Turn the ignition to OFF and then back to ACC within 1 second.
– The BCM may chime and flash diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). If so, refer to the Diagnostic System Check-Body Control Module in Body Control Module Systems.
– Open and then close any vehicle door. The BCM will chime to confirm that the programming mode has been entered.
– Press and hold the transmitter LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for approximately 14 seconds.
– After approximately 7 seconds, the BCM will chime once to confirm synchronization.
– After approximately 14 seconds, the BCM will chime a second time to confirm programming completion.
– Repeat the previous step to program each additional transmitter.
– Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
– Install the BCMPRGRM fuse into the fuse block.
– Operate the functions of each transmitter to verify correct system operation.
