Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

To reprogram your remote entry fobs, ensure you have all remote entry fobs (up to four) available. If any fobs are not present during programming, they will no longer operate the vehicle. Note: Ensure the brake pedal is not depressed during this sequence.

1. Ensure the vehicle is electronically unlocked.
2. Insert the key into the ignition in the (OFF) position.
3. Cycle rapidly between the (OFF) and (ON) positions four times within six seconds. Do not start the vehicle. Note: The fourth turn must end in the (ON) position.
4. Turn the key to the (OFF) position within 10 seconds.
5. A chime will sound to confirm that the programming mode has been activated.
6. Within 10 seconds, press any button on the remote entry fob. Note: If more than 10 seconds have passed, you will need to start the procedure over.
7. A chime will sound to confirm that the remote entry fob has been programmed.
8. Repeat Step 6 to program each additional remote entry fob.
9. The programming mode will exit automatically after 10 seconds of inactivity or by turning the ignition ON.

That completes the procedure for programming the remote portion of your remote/key combo. Follow the instructions below to program the key portion.

Note: The key blade must be cut before you can program it. The process for programming keys is independent of the process for programming Remote Entry Fobs. If your vehicle has a key and Remote Entry fob combo, you must perform both learning procedures to program both the Immobilizer and Remote Locking functions of the key fob.

Tips:
– A maximum of eight keys can be programmed to your vehicle.
– You must have two previously programmed keys (keys that already operate your vehicle’s engine) and the new unprogrammed key(s) readily accessible.
– If two previously programmed keys are not available, you must have a locksmith program a second key for you.

1. Insert a previously programmed key into the ignition.
2. Turn the ignition from the OFF position to the ON position. Keep the ignition in the ON position for at least one second, but no more than 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
4. Remove the previously programmed key from the ignition.
5. After three seconds but within 10 seconds of removing the previously programmed key, insert the other previously programmed key into the ignition.
6. Turn the ignition from the OFF position to the ON position. Keep the ignition in the ON position for at least one second but not more than 10 seconds.
7. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
8. Remove the previously programmed key from the ignition.
9. After three seconds but within 20 seconds of removing the previously programmed key, insert the unprogrammed key (new/valet key) into the ignition.
10. Turn the ignition from the OFF position to the ON position. Keep the ignition in the ON position for at least one second, but no more than 10 seconds.
11. Your new, unprogrammed key is now programmed. If the key has been successfully programmed, it will start the vehicle’s engine, and the theft indicator light will illuminate for three seconds and then go out. If the key was not successfully programmed, it will not start your vehicle’s engine, and the theft indicator light will flash on and off, or stay on for more than three seconds. To program additional new unprogrammed key(s), repeat this procedure from Step 1 for each additional key.
