Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

If you have one working key and want to program a spare key yourself, follow these steps after having the new key cut by a locksmith:

1. Start with an already programmed key that can start your engine. Turn the ignition from the ON to the OFF position using this key.

2. Within 15 seconds, insert the new key into the ignition and turn it to the ON or START position. The vehicle doesn’t need to be started. If the key has been successfully coded, the theft indicator will illuminate for two seconds.

3. Now, the key can be used to start the vehicle. Repeat this process until all desired keys (up to a maximum of 8) have been programmed.

If the key coding process fails, the theft indicator will flash, and the vehicle cannot be started. This failure could occur due to one of three reasons:
– The new key wasn’t inserted within 15 seconds.
– All 8 key codes have already been stored.
– The key doesn’t have an electronic code.
