Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

For your Yukon with a separate key and remote, here are the instructions to add a key to the system:

Programming with Two Programmed Keys:
1. Insert the first already programmed key into the ignition and turn the ignition on.
2. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
3. Quickly, within five seconds, insert the second already programmed key in the ignition and turn the ignition on.
4. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
5. Insert the new key to be programmed and turn the ignition on within five seconds. The security light will turn off once the key has been programmed.
6. Repeat Steps 1–5 if additional keys are to be programmed.

Programming without Two Programmed Keys:
1. Insert the new vehicle key into the ignition and turn the ignition on. The security light will come on.
2. Wait 10 minutes until the security light turns off.
3. Turn the ignition off. Repeat Steps 1–2 two more times. After the third time, turn the ignition on; the key is programmed, and all previously programmed keys will no longer work with the vehicle.
4. To program the second key, turn the ignition off. Insert the second key to be programmed and turn the ignition on.
5. After two keys are programmed, the remaining keys can be programmed by following the procedure in “Programming with Two Recognized Keys.”

Programming with a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only):
1. Remove the key from the recognized transmitter.
2. Place the two recognized transmitters in the cupholder or passenger seat.
3. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle. Turn the key counterclockwise to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The DIC displays READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, etc.
4. Place the new transmitter in the transmitter pocket/insert. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button.
5. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC display will show that it is ready to program the next transmitter.
6. Remove the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and press unlock or lock on the transmitter. Repeat for additional transmitters.

Programming without a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only):
1. Remove the vehicle key from the transmitter.
2. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle. Turn the key counterclockwise to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The DIC displays REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
3. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN, then press the ENGINE START/STOP button. Repeat two more times.
4. After the third time, all previously known transmitters will no longer work with the vehicle. Remaining transmitters can be relearned.
5. Place the new transmitter in the transmitter pocket/insert. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button.
6. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC display will show that it is ready to program the next transmitter. Repeat for additional transmitters.

Follow these steps carefully for successful programming of your new key or transmitter.
