Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

Programming with a Recognized Transmitter:

When programming a new transmitter with one recognized transmitter already present, adhere to these steps:

1. Extract the key from the recognized transmitter.
2. Position the recognized transmitter(s) in the cup holder or on the passenger seat.
3. Eliminate the key lock cylinder cap. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle, then turn the key counterclockwise to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) will exhibit READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, or 5.
4. Insert the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket situated inside the center console storage area.
5. Engage the ENGINE START/STOP button. Once the transmitter is acquired, the DIC will signify readiness to program the next transmitter.
6. Withdraw the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and engage UNLOCK. Iterate Steps 3–5 to program additional transmitters.
7. Once all extra transmitters are programmed, hold down the ENGINE START/STOP button for 12 seconds to exit programming mode.

Programming without a Recognized Transmitter:

In the absence of recognized transmitters, proceed as follows to program up to eight transmitters:

1. Extract the vehicle key from the transmitter and eliminate the key lock cylinder cap. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle, then turn the key counterclockwise to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The DIC will display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
2. Await 10 minutes until the DIC prompts PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN, then activate the ENGINE START/STOP button. The DIC will reiterate REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
3. Replicate Step 2 twice more. After the third iteration, all previously recognized transmitters will cease functioning with the vehicle. The DIC will now indicate READY FOR REMOTE # 1.
4. Insert the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket located inside the center console storage area.
5. Engage the ENGINE START/STOP button. Once the transmitter is learned, the DIC will signify readiness to program the next transmitter.
6. Withdraw the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and engage UNLOCK. Repeat Steps 4–6 to program additional transmitters.
7. Once all additional transmitters are programmed, hold down the ENGINE START/STOP button for 12 seconds to exit programming mode.
8. Return the key to the transmitter.
