Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

Programming with a Recognized Transmitter (Key Vehicles Only):
1. Start by inserting the original, already programmed key into the ignition and turning it to the ON/RUN position.
2. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF, and then remove it.
3. Insert the new key to be programmed and turn it to the ON/RUN position within five seconds. Once the key has been programmed, the security light will turn off.
4. Repeat Steps 1–3 if additional keys need to be programmed. In case of a lost or damaged key, visit your dealer to get a new one.

Programming without a Recognized Transmitter (Key Vehicles Only):
If you need to program a new key when a recognized key is not available, follow these steps. Canadian regulations mandate owners to visit their dealer for this. Here’s how to program the 1st key. This process will take around 30 minutes for the first key. Ensure the vehicle is off, and you have all the keys you wish to program.
1. Insert the new vehicle key into the ignition.
2. Turn to ON/RUN. The security light will come on.
3. Wait for 10 minutes until the security light turns off.
4. Turn the ignition to LOCK/OFF.
5. Repeat Steps 2–4 two more times. After the third time, turn to ON/RUN. At this point, the key is learned, and any previously known keys will no longer work with the vehicle. You can learn the remaining keys by following the procedure in “Programming with a Recognized Key.”

Programming with a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only):
You can program a new transmitter to the vehicle when there is one recognized transmitter. Make sure the vehicle is off, and you have all the transmitters, both currently recognized and new, with you.
1. Place the recognized transmitter(s) near you.
2. Remove the cupholder liner to access the transmitter pocket. Then, insert the vehicle key of the new transmitter into the key lock cylinder on the outside of the driver door and turn it to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. This action will display READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, or 5 on the Driver Information Center (DIC).
3. Put the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket with the buttons facing up.
4. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. Once the transmitter is learned, the DIC will indicate that it is ready to program the next transmitter.
5. Remove the transmitter from the pocket and press UNLOCK. To program additional transmitters, repeat Steps 3–5. Once all additional transmitters are programmed, press and hold the ignition for at least 10 seconds to exit programming mode.

Programming without a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only):
If there are no currently recognized transmitters available, follow this procedure to program a new key. Canadian regulations require owners to see their dealer for this.
1. Insert the vehicle key of the transmitter into the key lock cylinder on the outside of the driver door and turn it to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. This action will display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT on the Driver Information Center (DIC).
2. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN, then press the ignition. The DIC will again display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
3. Repeat Step 2 two additional times. After the third time, all previously known transmitters will no longer work with the vehicle. You can relearn the remaining transmitters during the next steps. The DIC will now show READY FOR REMOTE #1.
4. Put the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket with the buttons facing up.
5. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. Once the transmitter is learned, the DIC will indicate that it is ready to program the next transmitter.
6. Remove the transmitter from the pocket and press UNLOCK. To program additional transmitters, repeat Steps 4–6. Once all additional transmitters are programmed, press and hold the ignition for at least 10 seconds to exit programming mode.
