How to Program a 2023 Ford F250-F350-F450-F550 Super Duty Ignition Smart Chip Key Transponder

Step by Step How to Programming Instructions:

For vehicles with the flip key or the remote head key/combo system (Ford F250, F350, F450, F550):

1. Insert the first previously programmed key into the ignition and turn it from the OFF position to the ON position (keep it in the ON position for at least one second, but no more than 10 seconds).
2. Turn the ignition back to the OFF position to remove the first programmed key.
3. Within 10 seconds of removing the first key, insert the second previously programmed key into the ignition and turn it from the OFF position to the ON position (keep it in the ON position for at least one second, but no more than 10 seconds).
4. Turn the ignition back to the OFF position to remove the second programmed key.
5. Within 10 seconds of removing the second key, insert the new unprogrammed key (new key/valet key) into the ignition and turn it from the OFF position to the ON position (keep it in the ON position for at least one second, but no more than 10 seconds). This will program your new key to a programmed key.
6. To program additional new unprogrammed keys, repeat Steps 1 through 5. If successful, the new programmed keys will start the vehicle’s engine and operate the remote functions.

For vehicles with the smart key system (Ford F250, F350, F450, F550):

1. Place the first programmed key in the backup slot in the center console, then press the push button ignition switch. Insert the first previously programmed coded key into the ignition.
2. Wait five seconds, then press the push button ignition switch again. Switch the ignition from off to on. Keep the ignition on for at least three seconds, but no more than 10 seconds.
3. Remove the intelligent access key. Switch the ignition off and remove the first coded key from the ignition.
4. Within 10 seconds, place a second programmed intelligent access key in the backup slot. Press the push button ignition switch. After three seconds but within 10 seconds of switching the ignition off, insert the second previously coded key into the ignition.
5. Wait five seconds, then press the push button ignition switch again. Switch the ignition from off to on. Keep the ignition on for at least three seconds, but no more than 10 seconds.
6. Remove the intelligent access key. Switch the ignition off and remove the second previously programmed coded key from the ignition.
7. Place the unprogrammed intelligent access key in the backup slot and press the push button ignition switch. After three seconds but within 10 seconds of switching the ignition off and removing the previously programmed coded key, insert the new unprogrammed key into the ignition. Programming is now complete. Verify the remote control functions operate and your vehicle starts with the new intelligent access key. If programming was not successful, wait 10 seconds and repeat Steps 1 through 7.
