Programming Spare Intelligent Access Key: To program a spare intelligent access key, you will need two previously programmed keys and the new unprogrammed key readily accessible.

1. Open the center console lid.

3. Press the ignition button. Wait for 5 seconds and then press the ignition button again.
4. Remove the key.
5. Within 10 seconds, insert a second programmed key into the backup slot and press the ignition button.
6. Wait for 5 seconds and then press the ignition button again.
7. Remove the key.
8. Wait for 5 seconds, then insert the unprogrammed key into the backup slot and press the ignition button.
9. Once complete, the information cluster will display a message confirming that you have programmed the key. If programming was unsuccessful, wait for 10 seconds and repeat the procedure. If you have no working key fobs or only one working key fob, you will need to have a locksmith program additional key fobs for you.

If you need to find an automotive locksmith in your area, you can use LocateALocksmith.com. If your vehicle is still mobile, it may save you money to drive to the locksmith instead of having them come to you. The locksmith will then use specialized computer equipment to program the smart key remote fob.
