How to Program a 2014 Lincoln MKS Ignition Smart Chip Key Transponder
Step by Step How to Programming Instructions:
1. Ensure that your vehicle is turned off and all doors are closed.
2. Remove the rubber covering from the cup holder.
3. Place the first programmed key in the backup slot at the bottom of the cup holder.
4. Press the push-button ignition switch and wait for five seconds.
5. Press the push-button ignition switch again.
6. Remove the intelligent access key.
7. Within 10 seconds, place a second programmed intelligent access key in the backup slot.
8. Press the push-button ignition switch and wait for five seconds.
9. Press the push-button ignition switch again.
10. Remove the intelligent access key.
11. Place the unprogrammed intelligent access key in the backup slot.
12. Press the push-button ignition switch.
13. Programming is now complete.
14. Verify that the remote control functions operate and your vehicle starts with the new intelligent access key.
15. If programming was not successful, wait 10 seconds and repeat Steps 1 through 7.
Note: You can program a maximum of four intelligent access keys to your vehicle. If two previously programmed intelligent access keys are not available, contact a local locksmith for assistance. Make sure to read and understand the entire procedure before starting.
