Step by Step How to Programming Instructions:
To program spare Intelligent Access Keys for your vehicle, you’ll need two previously programmed Intelligent Access Keys inside the vehicle and the new unprogrammed keys readily accessible. If you lack two previously programmed keys, a locksmith will need to program the spare key(s). Note that a maximum of four Intelligent Access Keys can be programmed to your vehicle. If you wish to replace a previously programmed key with a new one or if you already have four keys programmed, a locksmith is necessary for programming.
1. Make sure the vehicle is off before starting.
2. Ensure all doors are closed throughout the procedure.
3. Perform the steps exactly as described and within 30 seconds of starting the sequence. If any steps are performed out of sequence, pause for at least one minute before starting again. Read and understand the entire procedure before beginning.
Procedure:
1. Place the new unprogrammed Intelligent Access Key in the pocket inside the center console utility compartment.
2. Press the driver or passenger power door unlock control three times.
3. Press and release the brake pedal once.
4. Press the driver or passenger power door lock control three times.
5. Press and release the brake pedal once. The indicator on the Start/Stop button should rapidly flash, indicating programming mode has been entered and two programmed Intelligent Access Keys have been detected in the vehicle.
6. Within one minute, press the start/stop button.
7. If four Intelligent Access Keys have already been programmed, the message “MAX#OFFOBSLEARNED” will be displayed on the message center.
8. Remove the key from the glove box pocket and press the unlock or lock control on the newly programmed Intelligent Access Key to exit programming mode.
9. Verify that the remote entry functions operate (lock, unlock) and that the vehicle starts with the new Intelligent Access Key. If successful, it can be used to activate the Intelligent Access with Push Button Start feature and start your vehicle.
