Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

The vehicle’s transmitters can be reprogrammed to deactivate lost or stolen ones. Any remaining transmitters will need reprogramming. Each vehicle can have up to eight matched transmitters.

Programming with a Recognized Transmitter (Key Vehicles Only):
1. Insert the original programmed key into the ignition and turn it to the ON/RUN position.
2. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF and remove it.
3. Insert the new key to be programmed and turn it to the ON/RUN position within five seconds. The security light will turn off once programmed.
4. Repeat Steps 1–3 for additional keys if needed.

Programming without a Recognized Transmitter (Key Vehicles Only):
1. Find an automotive locksmith in your area using the provided contact information.
2. If your vehicle is still mobile, consider driving to the locksmith to save money.
3. The locksmith will use specialized computer equipment to program the smart key remote fob.

Programming with a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only):
A new transmitter can be programmed when there’s a recognized one. The vehicle must be off, and all transmitters, recognized and new, must be present.
1. Place recognized transmitter(s) in the transmitter pocket inside the center console.
2. Insert the key of the new transmitter into the driver door key lock cylinder and turn it to unlock five times within 10 seconds. The DIC will display READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, or 5.
3. Place the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket.
4. Press the START button. Once learned, the DIC will indicate readiness to program the next transmitter.
5. Remove the transmitter from the pocket and press UNLOCK. Repeat Steps 3–5 for additional transmitters. Hold the START button for 10 seconds to exit programming mode.

Programming without a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only):
If no recognized transmitters are available, follow these steps to program up to eight transmitters. This feature is not available in Canada.
1. Insert the transmitter’s key into the driver door key lock cylinder and turn it to unlock five times within 10 seconds. The DIC will display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
2. Wait 10 minutes until the DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN, then press the START button. Repeat this two more times. After the third time, previously known transmitters won’t work.
3. Place the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket.
4. Press the START button. Once learned, the DIC will indicate readiness for the next transmitter.
5. Remove the transmitter from the cup holder and press UNLOCK. Repeat Steps 4–6 for additional transmitters. Hold ENGINE START/STOP for 12 seconds to exit programming mode.
6. Return the vehicle key to the transmitter.
