Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

Before starting, ensure you have 1 or 2 OEM Key Fobs and approximately 1.5 feet of electrical wire, stripped at the ends, preferably around 22 gauge (known as Jumper Wire).

Steps:
1. Open the hood of your SUV.
2. Locate a plastic-covered connector labeled “Diagnostics” behind the battery on the driver’s side.
3. Remove the plastic cover on the Diagnostics port by pulling up on the edge nearest the front of the vehicle.
4. Take your prepped/stripped jumper wire and insert one end into connector 6, following the illustrations.
5. Extend the other end of the jumper wire to the positive terminal on your battery, securing it in the opening to keep it in place temporarily.
6. Enter your vehicle with your key fobs.
7. Insert one key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position; do not start the vehicle.
8. If you only need to reprogram one key fob, holding down the LOCK button for 3 seconds when the vehicle is turned to ON will turn off the lights on the dashboard, indicating completion.
9. Turn the key off, disconnect the wire, and test the key fob.
10. If you have two key fobs to program, turn the key to ON, hold the first LOCK button for 1 second, then do the same with the second one.
11. After the lights on the dashboard turn off, turn the key off and remove the jumper wire.
12. Test both Key Fobs.
