Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

If your Ford C-Max is equipped with the remote head key combo system, follow these steps to program a new key:

1. Insert the first previously programmed coded key into the ignition.
2. Turn the ignition from off to on. Keep it on for at least three seconds, but no more than 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition off and remove the first programmed key.
4. Within three seconds but no more than 10 seconds after turning off the ignition, insert the second previously programmed key into the ignition.
5. Again, turn the ignition from off to on. Keep it on for at least three seconds, but no more than 10 seconds.
6. Turn the ignition off and remove the second previously programmed key.
7. Within three seconds but no more than 10 seconds after turning off the ignition and removing the previously programmed key, insert the new unprogrammed key into the ignition.
8. Turn the ignition from off to on. Keep it on for at least six seconds.
9. Remove the newly programmed key from the ignition. If successful, it will start your vehicle and operate the remote entry system. If not, wait 10 seconds and repeat Steps 1 through 8.
