Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

To initialize a new key with two recognized keys:

1. Insert the original programmed key into the ignition and turn it to the ON/RUN position.
2. Rotate the key to LOCK/OFF and remove it.
3. Swiftly insert the second original programmed key into the ignition within five seconds and turn it to the ON/RUN position.
4. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF and remove it.
5. Introduce the new key to be programmed and turn it to the ON/RUN position within five seconds. The security light will extinguish upon completion of programming.
6. Repeat Steps 1–5 if programming additional keys is required.

To program a new key without a recognized key:

1. Place the new key into the ignition and turn it to the ON/RUN position. The security light will illuminate.
2. Allow the security light to extinguish, which typically takes around 10 minutes.
3. Turn the ignition to LOCK/OFF.
4. Repeat Steps 1–3 two more times. After the third cycle, turn the ignition to ON/RUN; the key is now programmed, rendering previously known keys inoperative.
5. For programming a second key, replicate the process by turning the ignition to OFF and inserting the second key, then turning it to ON/RUN. Once both keys are programmed, additional keys can be programmed using the procedure for programming with two recognized keys.

Programming with recognized transmitters (for Keyless Access Vehicles Only):

1. Position two recognized smart keys in the transmitter pocket located in the center console storage area.
2. Remove the key lock cylinder cap on the driver door handle. Insert the new transmitter’s vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the outside of the driver door and turn it to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) will display “READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, or 5,” etc.
3. Place the new smart key into the transmitter pocket with the buttons facing toward the rear of the vehicle.
4. Press ENGINE START/STOP. Upon the transmitter being learned, the DIC will prompt for programming the next transmitter.
5. Repeat Steps 3–4 for additional transmitters. After programming all transmitters, press and hold ENGINE START/STOP for 12 seconds to exit programming mode.

Programming without recognized transmitters (for Keyless Access Vehicles Only):

1. Remove the key lock cylinder cap on the driver door handle. Insert the transmitter’s vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the outside of the driver door and turn it to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The DIC will display “REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.”
2. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC displays “PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN,” then press ENGINE START/STOP. Repeat this step two more times.
3. After the third time, all previously known transmitters will no longer function with the vehicle. The DIC should display “READY FOR REMOTE #1.”
4. Insert the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket.
5. Press ENGINE START/STOP. Upon the transmitter being learned, the DIC will prompt for programming the next transmitter.
6. Repeat Steps 4–5 for additional transmitters. After programming all transmitters, press and hold ENGINE START/STOP for 12 seconds to exit programming mode.
