Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

Reprogramming to deactivate lost or stolen transmitters is essential. Each vehicle can accommodate up to eight transmitters. Here’s how to program with and without a recognized transmitter:

Programming with a Recognized Transmitter (Key Vehicles Only):
1. Insert the original programmed key into the ignition and turn it to the ON/RUN position.
2. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF and remove it.
3. Insert the new key and turn it to the ON/RUN position within five seconds. The security light will turn off once the key is programmed.
4. Repeat Steps 1–3 for additional keys.

Programming without a Recognized Transmitter (Key Vehicles Only):
U.S. owners can program a new key if a recognized key is unavailable. Canadian owners should consult their dealer. If no recognized keys are available, follow these steps:
1. Insert the new vehicle key into the ignition.
2. Turn to ON/RUN. The security light will illuminate.
3. Wait for 10 minutes until the security light turns off.
4. Turn the ignition to LOCK/OFF.
5. Repeat Steps 2–4 two more times. After the third time, turn to ON/RUN; the key is learned, and previous keys won’t work.
6. Remaining keys can be learned using the “Programming with a Recognized Transmitter (Key Vehicles Only)” procedure.

Programming with a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only):
A new transmitter can be programmed if one recognized transmitter is present. Follow these steps:
1. Place the recognized transmitter(s) in the transmitter pocket inside the center console.
2. Insert the new transmitter’s vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the outside of the driver door. Turn it to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The DIC displays READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, or 5.
3. Place the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket.
4. Press the START button. When learned, the DIC indicates readiness to program the next transmitter.
5. Remove the transmitter from the pocket and press UNLOCK. Repeat Steps 3–5 for additional transmitters. Press and hold the START button for 10 seconds to exit programming mode.

Programming without a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only):
If no recognized transmitters are available, follow these steps:
1. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the outside of the driver door and turn it to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The DIC displays REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
2. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN, then press the START button.
3. Repeat Step 2 two more times. After the third time, previous transmitters won’t work. Remaining transmitters can be learned using the procedure outlined.
