Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

Programming with a Recognized Transmitter (Key Vehicles Only):
1. Start by inserting the original, already programmed key into the ignition and turning it to the ON/RUN position.
2. Then, turn the key to LOCK/OFF and remove it.
3. Next, insert the new key to be programmed and turn it to the ON/RUN position within five seconds. Once the key has been programmed, the security light will turn off.
4. Repeat Steps 1–3 if you need to program additional keys. If a key is lost or damaged, reach out to your dealer to get a new key made.

Programming without a Recognized Transmitter (Key Vehicles Only):
If you need to program a new key when a recognized key is not available, follow this procedure. Please note that Canadian regulations require owners to visit their dealer. Here are the steps to program the 1st key. This process will take around 30 minutes for the first key. Make sure the vehicle is off, and you have all the keys you wish to program with you.
1. Begin by inserting the new vehicle key into the ignition.
2. Turn the key to ON/RUN. This will cause the security light to come on.
3. Wait for 10 minutes until the security light turns off.
4. Turn the ignition to LOCK/OFF.
5. Repeat Steps 2–4 two more times. After the third time, turn to ON/RUN. At this point, the key is learned, and any previously known keys will no longer work with the vehicle. You can learn the remaining keys by following the procedure in “Programming with a Recognized Key.”

Programming with a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only):
You can program a new transmitter to the vehicle when there is one recognized transmitter. Make sure the vehicle is off, and you have at least one currently recognized transmitter and all new transmitters with you.
1. Begin by placing the recognized transmitter(s) in the cup holder.
2. Remove the key lock cylinder cap. Then, insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle and turn it counterclockwise to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. This action will display READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, or 5 on the Driver Information Center (DIC).
3. Put the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket located inside the center console storage area.
4. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. Once the transmitter is learned, the DIC will indicate that it is ready to program the next transmitter.
5. Remove the transmitter from the pocket and press UNLOCK. To program additional transmitters, repeat Steps 3–5. Once all additional transmitters are programmed, press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for 12 seconds to exit programming mode.

Programming without a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only):
If there are no currently recognized transmitters available, you can follow this procedure to program up to eight transmitters. Please note that this feature is not available in Canada. The process will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure the vehicle is off, and you have all the transmitters you wish to program with you.
1. Remove the key lock cylinder cap. Then, insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle and turn it counterclockwise to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. This action will display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT on the Driver Information Center (DIC).
2. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN, then press the ENGINE START/STOP button. The DIC will again display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
3. Repeat Step 2 two additional times. After the third time, all previously known transmitters will no longer work with the vehicle. You can relearn the remaining transmitters during the next steps. The DIC will now show READY FOR REMOTE #1.
4. Place the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket located inside the center console storage area. The pocket can be accessed by removing the cup holder liner.
5. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. Once the transmitter is learned, the DIC will indicate that it is ready to program the next transmitter.
6. Remove the transmitter from the pocket and press UNLOCK. To program additional transmitters, repeat Steps 4–6. Once all additional transmitters are programmed, press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for 12 seconds to exit programming mode.
