Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

Programming with Recognized Transmitters:
When two recognized transmitters are available, you can program a new transmitter to the vehicle. To start programming, ensure the vehicle is turned off, and all transmitters, both current and new, are present. Each vehicle can accommodate up to eight matched transmitters.

1. Place the two recognized transmitters in the cupholder.
2. Remove the key lock cylinder cap on the driver door handle. Insert the vehicle key of the transmitter into the key lock cylinder on the driver door and turn the key counterclockwise, to the unlock position, five times within 10 seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) will display READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, etc.
3. Insert the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket. This pocket is located inside the center console storage area between the driver and front passenger seats. Open the storage area and lift the tray to access it.
4. Press ENGINE START/STOP. Once the transmitter is learned, the DIC display will indicate readiness to program the next transmitter.
5. Retrieve the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and press the transmitter Unlock or Lock button. To program additional transmitters, repeat Steps 3–5. After programming all additional transmitters, press and hold ENGINE START/STOP for 12 seconds to exit programming mode.
6. Return the key to the transmitter.
7. Replace the key lock cylinder cap.

Programming without Recognized Transmitters:
If two recognized transmitters are not available, follow this procedure to program up to eight transmitters. This feature is unavailable in Canada. This process takes about 30 minutes to complete. Ensure the vehicle is turned off, and all transmitters you wish to program are with you.

1. Remove the key lock cylinder cap on the driver door handle. Insert the vehicle key of the transmitter into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle and turn the key counterclockwise, to the unlock position, five times within 10 seconds. The DIC will display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
2. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN, then press ENGINE START/STOP. The DIC will again show REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
3. Repeat Step 2 two additional times. After the third time, all previously known transmitters will no longer work with the vehicle. Remaining transmitters can be relearned during the next steps. The DIC display should now show READY FOR REMOTE # 1.
4. Place the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket. This pocket is inside the center console storage area between the driver and front passenger seats. Open the storage area and lift the tray to access it.
5. Press ENGINE START/STOP. Once the transmitter is learned, the DIC display will indicate readiness to program the next transmitter.
6. Retrieve the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and press the transmitter K or Q button. To program additional transmitters, repeat Steps 4–6. After programming all additional transmitters, press and hold ENGINE START/STOP for 12 seconds to exit programming mode.
7. Return the key to the transmitter.
8. Replace the key lock cylinder cap.
